Same as previous years, the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council participated in the Hong Kong Food Expo 2016 with its own booth to display the food products and food related products of over 20 licencees. At the booth, over 1000 small gifts were given away to booth visitors through various Q-Mark educational games.
Since over one-third of the licencees are in the food business, it is important for the Council to make a more prominent presence at the Food Expo. Therefore this year the Council organised the Q-Mark Selfie – Food Styling Competition on 13 August 2016 at the Food Expo’s entertainment stage. It also invited two well-known TV celebrities King Kong and Siu Yee to team up with the audience teams to compete in three rounds, i.e. food sculpturing, food decoration and food selfie on stage. The competitions were watched by a huge crowd.
The council’s chairman Mr. Bernie Ting, council members and prize sponsors supported the competition through their presence and presented prizes to the winners of the competition.
