Q-Mark 46th Anniversary cum Licence Presentation Ceremony
The Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), successfully held the Q-Mark 46th Anniversary cum Licence Presentation Ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 17 October 2024.

The event was graced by the presence of the Secretary for Justice, Paul Lam, who served as the Guest of Honour. FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang, and FHKI Executive Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council Anthony Lam, along with other leadership from the FHKI and the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, attended the event.

During the ceremony, Secretary Paul Lam awarded Q-Mark licences to new companies, recognising their significant achievements in earning the Q-Mark licence. Additionally, he honored three Q-Mark licensees whose licenses have been maintained for over 30 consecutive years, acknowledging their long-term commitment to quality. FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang awarded licenses to enterprises that have held their Q-Mark licenses for over consecutive 20 years.

The event also included a panel discussion titled "Enhancing Quality Standards: An Innovative Journey from Manufacturing to Catering Services", moderated by Karen Chan, the Deputy Chairman of FHKI and Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council. Guest speakers Bernie Ting from Qualidux International Co. Ltd., Kriston Sun from Kinox Trading Ltd., and Agnes Cheung from Dongguan Tai Chung East Ocean Restaurant Co. Ltd., provided valuable insights into key topics such as brand image development and competitive market differentiation.

This year marked another milestone with 238 enterprises receiving Q-Mark licenses across various certification schemes. The breakdown included 100 licenses under the Hong Kong Q-Mark Product Scheme, 58 under the Hong Kong Q-Mark Service Scheme, 64 under the Hong Kong Q-Mark Service (Cyan) Scheme, and 16 under the Hong Kong Green Mark Certification Scheme. Since its launch last year, the Q STEM Certification Scheme has certified 43 products, further highlighting the Council's commitment to promoting high standards across diverse industries.
